Challenges

The science complex is the new home for science departments in Towson University’s Fisher College of Science and Mathematics. The new 320,000 sq ft science facility contains 50 teaching labs, 30 research labs, 50 classrooms, 10 collaborative student spaces, 8 lecture halls, and an outdoor classroom. The new building has the infrastructure to support world-class scientific research and discovery, and will support the accelerated enrollment and research growth in the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics.

Solutions

RMF performed commissioning services for the following systems and equipment: all air handling systems, chilled and heating water systems, building general and laboratory exhaust air systems, building air terminal units, building automation system and integration with laboratory controls, emergency power generators, automatic transfer switching, and uninterruptible power supply systems, electrical systems including switchgear, panelboards, and electrical outlets/circuits, security system, plumbing systems, lighting controls.
