A spring-loaded safety shutter is designed to eject the plug if it has not been properly locked into the connector or receptacle. The safety shutter is also engineered to contain and extinguish arcs and prevent the entrance of foreign matter. Other features include an ergonomic shape that enables grip and reduces slippage and a nylon shell for durability. Available in 20 and 30 A, the power lock devices meet Ingress Protection 30 ratings, and are designed for non-NEMA configurations.
