Pipe systems gain Massachusetts approval

The Massachusetts Office of the Board of Registration of Plumbers and Gas Fitters approved Aquatherm’s Greenpipe polypropylene-random pipe systems for use statewide in plumbing applications.

The Massachusetts Office of the Board of Registration of Plumbers and Gas Fitters approved Aquatherm’s Greenpipe polypropylene-random (PP-R) pipe systems for use statewide in plumbing applications. The approval applies to Aquatherm Greenpipe, including ½- to 14-in. pipe and more than 400 fittings and valves. Aquatherm’s low material, installation, and maintenance costs, combined with environmental friendliness, position it as a sustainable piping system, and it already has the following model codes and listings: FM Approved for light hazard, concealed sprinkler piping; Intertek listed to ASTM E84 flame/smoke; IAPMO Plumbing and Mechanical listing; NSF 14, 61, and 51 listing; International Code Council (ICC) IPC, IRC, IMC; Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC); and National Standard Plumbing Code (NSPC).
