Philly engineers to be honored at ceremony

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Philadelphia Section will honor several engineers at its awards ceremony held during the ASCE Annual Spring Social on Thursday, May 15, at the Hyatt Regency at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia.

The Section Award recipients are:

* Rodney Plourde, Ph.D, P.E. (pictured), McMahon Associates, Philadelphia Civil Engineer of the Year
* Joseph Platt, Traffic Planning & Design, Philadelphia Young Civil Engineer of the Year
* Dr. Andrea Welker, Villanova University, Geotechnical Engineer of the Year
* John Pickett, Delaware County Planning Department, Government Engineer of the Year
* John Nawn, GAI Consultants, Engineering Manager of the Year
* Mark Tiger, Michael Baker Jr. Inc., Transportation Engineer of the Year
