The National Fire Protection Assn. is taking its World Safety Conference to Orlando, Fla. this year. From June 4 through 6, attendees will have a chance to check out the products featured here.

IP communicator transmits information generated by a fire-alarm control panel to a central station via the Internet. The unit can utilize any Ethernet network connection such as ADSL, cable modem and T1. Emergency evacuation system is said to extend beyond basic fire protection to emergency mass notification and evacuation. With its modular construction, components can be purchased as needed to expand the system over time. A peer-to-peer network operates at 625k Baud, and the system can be arranged as Style 4 or Style 7 using two conductor unshielded wire or fiber cables.
