Sharing code knowledge and experience, The RJA Group, a fire-protection and code-consulting Chicago-based firm, has teamed up with R.S. Means to published a guidebook aimed at helping design and construction professionals understand the new International Building Code (IBC).

“Now architects, engineers and building officials have a time-saving method for comparing the new IBC requirements to the other model building codes, but with a significant difference,” claims RJA Senior Vice President Randolph Tucker, who chaired the team that developed the guidebook. “The guide gives them the benefit of expert analysis from experienced code consultants.”

From Model Codes to the IBC: A Transitional Guide also includes a useful chart comparing current IBC requirements to the latest editions of the National Building Code, Standard Building Code, Uniform Building Code and the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code.
