NEBB Educational Conference to feature technical sessions
The three-day conference will address testing and balancing, sound and vibration, and zero energy buildings.
The National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) will hold its 2009 Annual Meeting and Educational Conference in Oklahoma City Oct. 29 to 31. The three days will feature industry experts, pioneers in new building technology, and vendors. Featured speakers include John Stevenson, president of NEBB, ASHRAE president Gordon Holness, and MCAA senior vice president and treasurer Mark Rogers, along with many other technical sessions.
A NEBB-certified report preparation session will cover all aspects of meeting the requirements in the seventh edition (2005) of NEBB Procedural Standards for testing, adjusting, and balancing of environmental systems. The NEBB sound and vibration committee will present analysis of vibration measurements in HVAC systems to determine causes of vibration and will incorporate actual project data to highlight key points.
The conference will also feature green topics from different viewpoints. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory ‘s commercial builds research group will highlight current net-zero energy building projects and describe the path that the U.S. Dept. of Energy has chosen to meet net-zero energy goals. Another technical session will focus on trends and standards in laboratory environment and will cover an explanation of hood types and safety standards along with sustainable, green laboratory equipment.
In addition to the technical content of the conference, attendees will be able to explore Oklahoma City through tours, social events and the bureau’s 12th annual golf tournament.
