Fairfax, Va.-based McDonough Bolyard Peck (MBP) Richard Mouri the new operations manager in Fairfax and Scott Galbraith , PE , as branch manager. Mouri previously worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as well as other private and public sector construction and facilities management companies. Galbraith has worked at MBP for 16 years in a variety of roles, most recently as the operations manager in Fairfax.

 

Tampa, Fla.-based PBS&J International has announced Walid Hatoum , PE , as its new president. Hatoum has experience in program management, project leadership, project engineering, business development, public relations, and administration. Prior to joining PBS&J International, Hatoum served as division manager for Parsons’ International operating out of London and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

 

Aurora, Colo.-based Merrick and Co. has named Glenn Dal Collo commissioning field coordinator. Dal Collo will be coordinating all day-to-day commissioning activities for the $500 million U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases replacement project to be located at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md.

Salt Lake City-based Total Building Commissioning has announced that Ray Dodd , PE , LEED AP , has joined the firm as a commissioning authority. Dodd has more than 25 years of experience in the mechanical facilities field with extensive knowledge of the building commissioning, construction, and design process. His experience includes commercial, industrial, institutional, and high-technology mechanical facilities systems.

 

ASHRAE installed new officers and directors at its 2009 Annual Conference in Louisville, Ky. New president Gordon Holness , PE , announced his theme, "Sustaining our future by rebuilding our past," which focuses on energy efficiency in existing buildings.

Other officers announced at the conference included Lynn Bellenger , PE , president-elect; Ron Jarnagin , treasurer; and vice presidents Bill Bahnfleth , PE , Jim Fields , Sheila Hayter , PE , and Tom Watson , PE . New regional directors announced were Spencer Morasch , Guy Perreault , PE , Kevin Fallin , PE , and Erich Binder , while the directors-at-large are Michael Brandemuehl , PE , Tom Werkema , and Samir Traboulsi , PE ; Officers and directors will remain for a one-year term.
