Ronald Wilkinson, PE, LEED AP and a LEED commissioning mechanical engineer at New York City-based AKF Group LLC , has been appointed chair of the newly formed AIA Commissioning Committee of the Center for Building Science and Performance (CBSP). He will lead the Committee in planning for the upcoming CBSP Symposium, March 5— 6, 2009, at the AIA National Headquarters, Washington, D.C.
Palatine, Ill.-based Schneider Electric’s North American Operating Division has promoted Thomas Insprucker to director of its Global Web Business Program. Insprucker—a 23-year company veteran—will lead the development, coordination, and execution of priority Web business programs for Schneider Electric’s customers in 130 countries, and for Schneider Electric business units worldwide. He also will be responsible for developing new incremental and profitable business through Web project development.
Chicago-based architecture, engineering and planning firm SmithGroup has named Carolina E. Lopez associate and project manager for the company’s Chicago architecture studio. Lopez is responsible for providing project management leadership, overseeing healthcare, science and technology, and higher-education assignments.
New Paris, Ind.-based KMC Controls has named Jon Hilberg to president and CEO. Also, the company promoted Jim Herdeman to vice president of sales and named Ben H. Dorsey III vice president of marketing and communications.
