Trimble’s Field Link is a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction layout software that can be used with the Trimble R8s global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver. The software enables the use of GNSS technology when performing outdoor construction layout tasks such as utility, open-deck, or long-distance field layout. Field Link offers an interface designed to view and locate layout points with a robotic total station, a GNSS receiver, or both. The R8s GNSS receiver takes advantage of GPS and other satellite-based positioning systems to provide MEP contractors with a flexible and integrated approach for their in-the-field layout tasks.
