Mahoney set to contribute to new TDMM edition

Thanks to Pat Mahoney, the next edition of the No. 1 reference standard in the world for the proper design of structured cabling systems will have been influenced by Cannon Design.
Mahoney has been invited to attend the Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM) 13th Edition Editorial Review next week. The edition is BISCI’s flagship manual and considered the telecommunications cabling reference manual for all designers. The manual features systems recommendations for best practices drawn from experts around the world while providing deep reference information on the standards and codes that impact technology designers every day. Mahoney’s selection to the editorial review board means BICSI considers him one of the top information transport systems (IST) experts in the world.
"This is a very exciting opportunity and it means a great deal to me that I was asked to attend the review,” said Mahoney. "Cannon Design strives to be a leader in every aspect of our profession—this is another important way we can build on that reputation.”
The TDMM is also the manual students study to test for BICSI’s RCDD and RITP credentials. The next edition will feature new content and significant revisions to existing content to best reflect the way the industry has evolved. A chapter specifically focused on healthcare will offer insight into how the growing use of IST within the industry and some of the unique requirements for working in health facilities. Other chapters includes looks at electronic security, network design, data centers, airports, audio visual systems and other important subjects.
Mahoney will represent Cannon Design and share his ideas and expertise on these fields. His efforts will help ensure the information on each page of the editorial review is accurate, up-to-date and geared toward advancing the profession.
