M/E Insider: Merger, Promotions and New Hires
• Harley Ellis Devereaux has officially formed through the merger of HarleyEllis Corp. , Southfield, Mich., and Fields Devereaux Architects & Engineers , Los Angeles, effective January 1, 2006. The merger expands the combined firm to 500 staff members in seven locations throughout the U.S.
• Rolf Jensen & Associates has chosen James H. Antell, AIA, P.E. , to organize and direct a technology-driven team of RJA fire protection engineers on leading international projects. A 25-year veteran of the company, Antell has also been promoted to senior vice president, International Operations.
• Peter Basso Assocs. , Troy, Mich., is pleased to announce that Casimir J. Zalewski and Andrew F. Luzenski have passed the final part of the Professional Engineers exam and are now licensed in Michigan. Zalewski is a project leader with the firm and Luzenski is a mechanical engineer.
• Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. , Nashville, Tenn., has hired two professionals with more than 20 years each of experience to serve on the firm’s regulatory compliance and facilities management team. Art Mahanna joins the firm as manager of compliance solutions and Michael Kuechenmeister as senior consultant.
• Ronald Boehm, RCDD, CTS , joins Harris Consulting Engineers as the senior low-voltage project manager. With more than eighteen years of experience with low-voltage systems, Ron has acted as lead designer and/or project manager on a variety of large-scale projects. At HCE Boehm will provide the management of pre-design consultation and complete systems engineering design for low-voltage technologies.
