Lighting design award closes soon

The 2009 IALD International Lighting Design Awards submission deadline is Nov. 17, 2008.

The oldest architectural lighting design award program on the global stage, the IALD International Lighting Design Awards , showcases the evolution of excellence in design. Each year, entries are judged by leaders in the industry who recognize noteworthy projects that reach new heights, move beyond the ordinary, and represent excellence in both aesthetic and technical design achievement. Entries are due Nov. 17, 2008.

Winning an IALD Award is universally heralded as a top distinction in the architectural lighting design community, and IALD International Lighting Design Award winners are featured prominently in numerous industry-related publications across the globe each year, expanding name recognition, demand, and international reach.

You can enter your best in the categories of:
*Academic/institutional
*Corporate
*Hospitality
*Monumental structures/public spaces
*Residential
*Retail/entertainment

Projects will be considered on their own merit, not judged against one another. There is no minimum or maximum number of awards granted. Awards of Excellence and Merit are based on the points earned for both technical and aesthetic design achievement. Recognition in the form of a Special Citation may be given for a particularly innovate aspect of a project’s lighting design at the discretion of the judges.
