Challenges

Access to equipment for maintenance and repair is always an issue, especially in a school where the maintenance staff is typically at school during the time when the students are present. Placing equipment in any space where students are present is an issue.

Solutions

The solution in this instance was to locate the mechanical equipment in strategically placed rooms and mezzanines to allow maintenance staff to access the equipment for the classrooms without having to be in the classroom, which would cause a distraction.
