Los Angeles-based Grundfos Pumps received an honorable mention in the Green Dot Awards for its Magna circulator pump. The awards program recognizes businesses and products for environmentally friendliness.

Research/consulting firm Frost & Sullivan has given Milwaukee-based A. O. Smith Corp. recipient of its 2009 North American Water Heaters Product Innovation of the Year Award. The award was given for the company’s Cyclone Xi and Vertex water heaters, which offer high energy efficiency and intelligent controls.

The Kilgust Mechanical subsidiary of Norwalk, Ct.-based Emcor Group Inc. has been awarded the contract for installing mechanical systems at the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service in Madison, Wis. Also, the company’s J.C. Higgins subsidiary has received the contract for installing mechanical and fire protection systems at the expanded Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Mass.
