Variable capacity scroll compressors and electronically commutated motor-driven variable speed direct drive backward curved plenum fans allow the unit to operate as a energy-saving Single Zone VAV system that modulates fan speed and airflow based on the space temperature and compressor capacity based on the supply air temperature, during both cooling and heating operation.
