Looking to honor businesses in the region that have been

productive and at the forefront of environmentally friendly construction, the

Business Review of Western Michigan will present its first-ever Green Awards on

Sept. 3. Nominations

are due by July 10.

Categories such as cleanest technology, best green small business, and best green existing

commercial building are among the 12 that will be awarded. The guideline for

each award is brief, such as the category alternative energy, which states,

“The implementation or creation of an alternative energy that significantly

impacts business.” The Business Review is looking for a description and

examples of an organization’s green efforts in the last year.
