In his latest blog, contributor David Sellers demonstrates a duct-flow pattern he witnessed while working in his woodshop. The design and the resulting flow pattern caused Sellers to blog about the valuable lessons we can learn while away from our “day jobs”.

As an educator, Sellers is always looking for a way to perfect his lectures. After sitting through an impromptu lecture from Mother Nature, Sellers demonstrates an accidental, duct-flow pattern he noticed while cutting a piece of 2 x 4 for his office remodeling project.

Sellers provides his possible explanations for the phenomenon, but he is open to Talk Back suggestions to those who read his blog, “ A Field Guide for Engineers ”.
