Firetrace International has just been granted LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) approval for both its 3M Novec 1230 and FM-200 direct low pressure (DLP) systems. The approval is important to the electrical sector as it covers 1-, 2-, and 5-kg systems for electrical panels up to 2 m3 in volume.
Firetrace’s detection tubing is a long proven and commonly used fire suppression solution. By using a pneumatic polyumer tubing for both detection and delivery, fire protection is elevated to the in-cabinet—and often even component—level protection. Adoption of detection tubing by the electrical industry has been slowed by a lack of recognized sector standards to allow an independent evaluation of the system’s effectiveness.
