Energy-saving wireless controls
Self-powered wireless controls reduce the amount of time and materials needed to install energy-management systems.
Ad Hoc Electronics offers a new line of self-powered wireless controls that reduces the amount of time and materials needed to install energy-management systems in green buildings. Based on EnOcean technology, the Illumra product line will include wireless light switches, temperature sensors, occupancy sensors, and light sensors that are powered using solar or mechanical energy sources. These battery-free transmitters communicate with room and building controllers to conserve energy through occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, and personal workspace control technologies.
The controls provide solutions for energy efficient buildings while requiring substantially less time and materials to perform the installation. Because the EnOcean based transmitters do not use batteries, the system offers maintenance-free, long-term operation.
Illumra products do not require wiring from the transmitter to the controlled device, allowing the switches and sensors to be installed anywhere. Wireless light switches and sensors mount directly to walls or other surfaces and can be relocated easily. The receiver modules plug into outlets or can be hard-wired to the devices they control.
