D’Jamoos Group to pursue Florida green building coalition

In conjunction with the International Council of Shopping Center's Florida conference this week in Kissimmee, The D'Jamoos Group has announced they will pursue the Florida Green Building Coalition Green Development designation for São Grato, their $125-million 23-acre mixed-use Naples project.

The São Grato designers have sought to use best management practices in planning, including shared efficient utility systems, an underground storm water retention system, use of native plants and low flow irrigation.

“São Grato will become the premier choice for healthy living and working space in Naples,” said Andy D’Jamoos, vice president of Sales and Marketing for The D’Jamoos Group.

D’Jamoos explained the decision to implement green building practices was a natural evolution of planning São Grato, which incorporates smart growth principles such as compact, efficient building forms and pedestrian-friendly street design.

“We recognize the benefits both economic and social green building offers our customers in terms of lowering operating costs, increasing energy efficiency and sustainability and improving indoor environment quality,” D’Jamoos added. The São Grato web site includes links to the eco-friendly products the developer has selected, including low-flow toilets and low VOC, low odor paint and floor coverings.

The project combines approximately 132,000 sq. ft. of commercial and retail space and 312,000 sq. ft. of residential space. Approximately 40,000hnson-Crowther, Charlene Greenblatt, Salli Jones-Doyon and Lindsey Schmoyer is brokering the commercial space is brokering the project.

São Grato’s 224 sophisticated, eco-conscious condominiums will be equipped with energy efficient appliances and sustainable building product selections. Starting in the $300,000s, units will range in size from one-bedroom, one-bath units with approximately 920 air-conditioned square feet to three-bedroom, three-bath units with approximately 1,730 air-conditioned sq. ft. Residential amenities will include a clubhouse room, two fitness rooms outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and two resort-style pools.

São Grato is located on the former site of H.M Buckley Wholesale Growers off Airport-Pulling Road in the heart of North Naples.
