Ascendant, a conventional cooling active desiccant dehumidification system, delivers and controls low-dewpoint air while minimizing regeneration energy. Ascendant allows design consultant compliance with ASHRAE/AIA guidelines. Ascendant offers improved cooling efficiency through higher suction temperatures. Energy and first-cost savings allow hospitals, for example, to operate continuously around the clock, improving hygiene by ensuring that the ASHRAE-required final filters remain dry. An optional SEMCO true 3 Å wheel decreases tons of cooling outdoor air by up to 60%. A true 3 Å wheel also limits contaminant carry-over to less than 0.045%.
