In this presentation, Brian Rener will review the importance of design standards and quality assurance programs, and provide an outline of how engineers can propose a program at their own firm to save time and money during the design phase and avoid costly errors and omissions issues during construction.
Brian Rener has more than 20 years of experience in management and engineering for new and existing facilities. His specialization is in electrical power and life safety systems for commercial, industrial, governmental, and mission critical facilities. He is a member of the IEEE industrial applications Chicago society where he has served as an officer and chair. In his current position, he is responsible for reviewing all of his firm’s electrical designs, and ensuring they meet strict quality assurance standards. Brian Rener is a member of the Consulting-Specifying Engineer editorial advisory board.
