By jointly signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in early November, ASHRAE and the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) announced their joint goal: to advance and promote the mutual interests of professionals engaged in the design, construction, and operation of buildings.

ASHRAE and NEBB have agreed to collaborate on issues of importance to engineers and facilities professionals. When opportunities exist, ASHRAE and NEBB will jointly promote educational programs, cross-promote products and services, as well as collaboration on publications.

In order to advance research into the sustainable design, construction, and operation of facilities, each organization will bring its expertise to develop a research agenda and research projects. As opportunities present themselves, jointly funded or cooperative research programs will be considered between the two organizations.
