Mammen, currently at CDM Smith, has more than 10 years of design and construction support experience in the commercial and municipal buildings market. He also has sustainable design experience, U.S. Green Building Council LEED documentation experience, building energy simulation modeling capability, standards and building code knowledge and widespread computer expertise. He currently is working to advance his career at CDM Smith by participating in a project management training program, making him one of the select employees who demonstrates the quality and aptitude for potentially becoming a CDM Smith-approved project manager. Last year, Mammen was selected as one of CDM Smith’s 12 Rising Stars of 2018 – a celebration of young professionals who are transforming their industries through technical excellence, innovative research and development and passionate public service. He is a member of CDM Smith’s guidance committee for employees working in the energy discipline. He fosters activity and leadership within the community, ensures that the group’s technical questions are always answered and guides his co-workers in having useful conversations. Through his church, Mammen volunteers throughout the year at various service events, which include serving meals at Solomon’s Porch, packing meals for Feed my Starving Children organization, making breakfast or spending time with the children at Ronald McDonald House, volunteering at a local soup kitchen and caroling at an assisted living senior facility. Additionally, he functioned as the treasurer of his church this past year. During free time, he enjoys working out. He also plays basketball casually and in church tournaments. He participates in races (5K through 15K) whenever there’s an opportunity. In addition, he and his wife love traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad.
