Haberman is an associate principal at Alvine Engineering in Oklahoma City, a family-owned consulting engineering firm with more than 50 years of expertise in MEP and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering and technology systems engineering. Alvine has four offices across the Midwest. Haberman joined the firm in 2008 after spending a year at an engineering company in Colorado. He moved to Oklahoma City in December 2013 to lead the electrical engineering team, provide client management, and guide the overall delivery of engineering in all facets of the office. After the move, he was promoted to the position of project manager. In June 2017, he was promoted to associate principal and that same year began serving as an industry evaluator for the architectural engineering interdisciplinary team design project at the University of Nebraska. He reviews each team’s submission based on its ability to show the architecture, structure, acoustics, and building systems as part of an integrated design. Through Haberman’s leadership in the Oklahoma City office, the staff has engaged in a multitude of community-service programs, which include packaging lunches through Hope’s Kitchen at the Oklahoma Food Bank, working to build a home through Habitat for Humanity, providing presents at Christmas through the City of Oklahoma City Rescue Mission Christmas Wish Store, and cleaning a park with LitterBlitz OKC. In addition to community outreach, the staff is active in activities outside of work including a summer kickball league and a relay team for the OKC Memorial Marathon. This spring, Haberman will be running the initial 6-mile leg for the relay team. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, renovating homes, and spending time with his wife and two children.
