After graduating from college, Bhuta accepted a job with the Southwest division of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) in San Diego. After 3 years, he relocated to the Los Angeles area to pursue a career in the private sector. After a small stint working for the city of Pasadena, Calif., he accepted a position with a consulting firm in Los Angeles named Hughes Associates, which eventually became JENSEN HUGHES. As a result of Bhuta’s exemplary business development and technical merit, he earned the opportunity to open the San Diego office of Hughes Associates. The San Diego office grew quickly and he became the youngest office manager at his firm. He then moved to the Raleigh, N.C., area and has become the director of the JENSEN HUGHES North Carolina and Ohio offices. In this position, he successfully assisted in leading the teams in North Carolina and Ohio through multiple acquisitions, mergers, and reorganizations. Under his leadership, the offices continue to grow, thrive, and exceed their goals. Outside of work, Bhuta enjoys cooking and has a large sense of adventure when it comes to food. He is always up for trying new and different types of cuisine at local restaurants and on his travels. He is often found cooking on the grill at his house in Holly Springs, N.C., or making meals for family gatherings. His ribs and special barbecue sauce are legendary in his family. Bhuta also likes spending time with his family, playing with his two French bulldogs (Kaan and Ruckus), and working on home-improvement projects.
