Maestre is a project manager, shareholder, and leader of CRB’s San Diego biopharmaceutical team, which specializes in the design, start-up, and qualification of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and advanced-technology facilities. He has spent his career with CRB, starting in the Philadelphia area more than 11 years ago and then relocating to San Diego in 2009. His responsibilities include team leadership (and mentoring the 30-person team), business development, client-account management, and business operations. Maestre’s technical background lies in the design and specification of biopharmaceutical laboratories and industrial mechanical systems including cleanrooms, HVAC, high-purity piping systems, process utilities, mechanical utilities, and central plants. He has built relationships with notable and up-and-coming biotech and pharmaceutical firms. He participated in career days at the CoOp School in San Diego. The CoOp School is a San Diego Cooperative Charter school that values family, diversity, creativity, and academic excellence. Maestre participates in the Genentech Relay For Life annual golf tournament, of which proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. He and his wife have two children. He enjoys nature and exploring diverse natural environments, unique wildlife, and spectacular landscapes. He loves to run and combines running with his passion for health. Maestre recently completed the Carlsbad Marathon, which benefited the Tri-City Medical Center. He has run in numerous other marathon races to support disease research and other charitable organizations.
