With unwavering dedication and a pleasant demeanor, Collarin specializes in the design of HVAC, plumbing, and solar thermal systems as a mechanical engineer. Though work and volunteering keep him busy, he makes time for his many hobbies and spending time with his friends, family, and girlfriend. He and his girlfriend are expecting their first child this spring. Collarin’s sustainable and innovative designs include ground loop heat exchangers, solar thermal domestic water systems, and desiccant dehumidification systems. He performs U.S. Green Building Council LEED building commissioning, energy analysis, and energy modeling for a variety of buildings. Collarin has a track record of regularly exceeding project managers’ expectations for innovative, high-performing green buildings. He doesn’t hesitate to volunteer for challenging project opportunities, receiving rave reviews from clients and co-workers alike. He especially enjoys highlighting new green technologies within his ASHRAE roles. His dedication and willingness to devote personal time to train and mentor others has earned respect throughout the industry. He is an effective communicator with a knack for getting others to rally around him, even senior and more experienced engineers. Collarin also serves as an ACE mentor at a local high school. In his limited free time, Collarin loves to cook, mountain bike, play volleyball, and play strategic board games.
