Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, BS Electrical Engineering

Since graduating from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Weyer has worked at the architecture and engineering firm of BSA LifeStructures, where he is passionate about improving lives everyday in the healing, learning, and discovery markets. As the youngest director of engineering at the firm, he designs and manages complex facility projects. Weyer earns respect as a natural and proven leader with attention to detail and a proactive, client-inclusive approach to the design process. His public speaking skills are regularly showcased as he presents the firm’s qualifications for multimillion-dollar projects. Weyer learned about work ethic and received his initial electrical education from his father—an electrical contractor—working alongside him as a young boy. He has since developed industry-leading dedication, technical knowledge, client relationship skills, leadership ability, and a reputation for innovation and energy savings within client needs. Weyer has extensive experience in planning, design, and analysis for electrical power, lighting, and low-voltage systems. In the past 3 years, he has been responsible for the electrical design or project management of more than 300,000 sq ft of research and laboratory space and 700,000 sq ft of healthcare space. Beyond the office, Weyer’s integrity, faith, and honor are apparent in his volunteerism and “family first” attitude. Outside of work, Weyer spends time with his wife Amy. Together they participate in local charity events and also love to travel.
