KEB America’s C6 Smart iPC is an embedded controller that uses an Arm Cortex-A9 CPU (1GHz) and is designed for applications requiring coordinated real-time motion control. The unit is DIN rail mounted and measures only 47mm wide. It is offered in dual-core and quad-core versions and the latter includes additional processing power allotted for visualization and a DVI-D port to integrate with visualization systems like KEB’s C6 Monitor. A dual-core version is also available for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or machine control.

A micro-UPS with 512KB of persistent/retain memory is included to protect against power outages. Also standard is 8 GB of onboard memory for applications and an EtherCAT master. The unit has an IP20 protection rating and can operate in a temperature range of 0 to 50 C. The C6 is designed for remote connectivity so users can monitor the field or the plant floor without making costly trips.
