Title: Keynote Address: Energy Policy, Trends, & Strategies in Challenging Times

Presenter: Jim Magee, Facility Commissioning Group, and Craig Sieben, Sieben Energy Associates

Craig Sieben is founder and CEO of Sieben Energy Associates. Mr. Sieben has testified before Congress on effective energy policy, and is frequently cited as an industry expert in publications including the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

He speaks often on what he calls the “second Saudi Arabia” waiting to be tapped in America’s building stock, and on the impact that enlightened energy efficiency practices and programs could have on the economy and the environment. Sieben Energy Associates services a broad spectrum of large and small businesses and institutional clients who seek to contain their energy costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. He holds a degree in energy policy from Hampshire College in Massachusetts, and prior to forming his present company in 1990, he founded the Super-insulation Information Service, a consultancy to building professionals, and was vice president for marketing at The Lighting Corporation.

Craig is a Chicago native, and describes himself a “semi-professional” harmonica player who enjoys sitting in with the city’s leading musicians as time and opportunity permit. Mr. Sieben speaks often on what he calls the “second Saudi Arabia” waiting to be tapped in America’s building stock, and on the impact that enlightened energy efficiency practices and programs could have on the economy and the environment.
