Full-service engineering firm Hatch Mott MacDonald (Iselin, NJ) acquired Coast & Harbor Engineering (Edmonds, WA), which focuses on the protection and restoration of coastlines, the development of port and harbor infrastructure, and navigation-related projects. Link to details

Leading international design firm Stantec (Edmonton, Canada) signed two letters of intent this week. The first is to acquire SHW Group (Dallas, TX), a nearly 300-person providing architectural, interior design, planning, and engineering services to higher education and K-12 clients. The second letter of intent is to acquire USKH (Anchorage, AK), a 130-person multidiscipline design firm serving public and private sector clients with offices in Alaska, Washington and Montana. CDi Engineers (Seattle, WA), a provider of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology (MEPT) engineering services, has merged with Mazzetti (San Francisco, CA). The combined firm will have 170 employees, placing it among the largest MEPT engineering firms in the country. Link to details
