RESPEC Consulting & Services (Rapid City, SD), a consulting and IT solutions firm specializing in the energy, mining, water, and natural resources markets acquired Morgan Worldwide Consultants (Lexington, KY). Morgan provides mine planning and design, mine economic analysis and feasibility studies, resource assessment, mine permitting, reclamation, and mine management consulting for the aggregate, coal, gold, and diamond markets. Link to details

Multi-disciplined engineering firm Mid-South Engineering Company (Hot Springs, AR) acquired D&S Enginering (Millinocket, ME). Both firms serve the building products, pulp and paper, renewable energy, hydroelectric power generation, and mining/minerals/material handling industries. The existing operations of D&S Engineering will continue to operate as D&S, a division of Mid-South Engineering Co. Link to details

Architectural firm Aukett Fitzroy Robinson Group (London, England) has acquired 95-person architectural firm Swanke Hayden Connell Europe (SHCE) (London, England). The combined firm will now operate as Aukett Swanke and have 340 staff in eight countries. Link to details

Global engineering consultancy Assystem (Paris, France) signed a letter of intent to acquire a majority stake in Radicon Gulf Consult (Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia), a 400-person provider of design and engineering services to the energy and infrastructure industries. Link to details
