This week’s big news features industry leader TRC Companies (Lowell, MA) (ENR #30). On Friday, the firm announced it had entered into a definitive agreement with New Mountain Capital (New York, NY) to become a private company. Then on Monday the firm announced it had acquired public works and infrastructure engineer CALTROP Corp. (Riverside, CA) in an all cash transaction. Two architecture firms, AXIS Architecture + Design (San Francisco, CA) and Gene Fong Associates (Los Angeles, CA) announced their merger. The merged team will operate under the name AXIS/GFA Architecture + Design. Link to details
