Challenges

The timeline was a challenging aspect of this project. EEA’s intent was to get the energy audit to the owner as quickly as possible so that implementation could begin and savings could be realized. The notice to proceed for the audit was given on May 16, 2012. By July 30, 2012, 3 million sq ft of space in 40 buildings had been surveyed and analyzed, and the first draft of the report had been delivered to the owner.

Solutions

To meet the compacted schedule, EEA gathered all available personnel resources to complete site work, process field data, identify energy conservation measures (ECMs), and compile the final report featuring ECM descriptions and associated paybacks.
