Stantec named one of top 10 commercial design firms
Commercial Construction + Renovation magazine named the North American design firm as one of the best design firms in 2010, ranking second overall for the second year in a row.
North American design firm Stantec has been named one the of the country’s top 10 commercial design firms for 2010 by Commercial Construction + Renovation magazine, which covers the retail, restaurant, and hospitality construction industries.
The magazine issues two lists that rank architectural and engineering services separately based on overall billings as well as those specifically generated from the retail, restaurant, and hospitality sectors. For the second year in a row, the company earned the number 2 spot in the country in overall architectural billings, while climbing two places from number 8 in 2009 to number 6 in 2010 for engineering services. Another highlight is the firm’s big jump from number 5 in 2009 to number 1 in 2010 for engineering services in the restaurant sector. The firm earned a number 5 ranking for architectural restaurant services.
In the retail sector, Stantec ranked 3 for engineering and 7 for architecture, while coming in at number 6 for engineering in the hospitality industry (no rank for architecture).
