SFPE document for fire safety open for public comment

The SFPE and International Code Council's document, Guidelines for Designing Fire Safety in Very Tall Buildings, is available for public comment until June 8, 2012.

The Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), in collaboration with the International Code Council, is developing Guidelines for Designing Fire Safety in Very Tall Buildings.

The Guidelines for Designing Fire Safety in Very Tall Buildings provides information on the topics that affect the performance of very tall buildings and their occupants in fire. This guide addresses these topics using performance-based fire protection engineering concepts. It is not intended to be a recommended practice or a document that is suitable for adoption as a code.

Comments are due June 8, 2012. To download the draft guide and a comment form, visit here.
