Securing New Ground: Conference Brings Security Professionals Together

By Consulting Specifying Engineer Staff December 30, 2004

More than 200 security industry executives and investors converged on New York City in October for the ninth annual Securing New Ground Conference. The conference brings industry leaders together with investors to cultivate new business relationships. Presentations focused on making money in the security industry, investor perspectives, homeland security, market trends, biometrics moving into the mainstream, new technologies, and other areas that will create new sources of revenue going forward.

The conference offers many networking possibilities for consulting engineers specializing in security systems, as well as a look at new products that are of potential significance to the security industry. At this year’s conference, these included advances in CCTV, the use of video for security and business information plus technologies that provide security buyers faster returns on their investment.

In addition to the sessions and networking, conference attendees also received a copy of the newly released “Security Industry Annual Report 2004 — Security Concerns Drive A Bright Spot In the Market,” authored by Jeffrey T. Kessler, senior vice president of Lehman Brothers and described as Wall Street’s “guru” on the security industry

Copies of the report can be purchased by contacting Sandra Jones and Company, a sponsor of the conference, at 440-285-4444 or info@securingnewground.com . For information on upcoming conferences, go to www.SecuringNewGround.com .
