RMF Engineering has announced the relocation of its Durham, N.C., office, to Raleigh, N.C., a move that will support the firm’s continued growth. The office space will be located in the Brier Creek Community, part of American Asset Corp.’s mixed-use development, which includes retail, commercial and residential projects strategically positioned in one of the Triangle’s fastest growing submarkets. The move to a new, larger office comes during a period of significant growth for RMF.

"RMF’s move is occurring at an opportune time, as we’ve recently received award recognition for our work at Duke University and have expanded to seven offices, housing a new office in Columbus, Ohio,” said Duane Pinnix, president and CEO of RMF. “All of these progressions provide new opportunities for growth and help RMF to continue maintaining the long-lasting, quality relationships with clients for which we are known.”

Presently, there are 50 people in the new Raleigh office, including four partners, as well as project managers, engineers, designers, and support staff. The new office location will allow the employee base to expand by 30% in the near term. The Raleigh office currently serves clients globally, working across multiple markets with a specialty in education and healthcare facilities. Some of the firm’s best-known clients include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).

The new office space is itself iconic of RMF’s commitment to providing sustainable energy solutions. The design includes plenty of natural light, a Lutron EcoSystem lighting system to allow for individualized lighting control, and LED lighting fixtures for ultra-low energy usage.
