Pump starter
The IPS Starter from Cerus Industrial Inc. has integrated pump-specific protective features.
Cerus Industrial Inc. announced the new IPS Starter with integrated pump-specific protective features. Tru-power sensing protects pumps from premature failures due to conditions such as dry pump, dead head, excessive shaft run-out, and jammed impellers. Tru-power sensing allows for a more flexible trip range, which can help eliminate nuisance trips. The IPS protects motors from phase unbalance, phase loss, phase reversal, anti-cycling, and overheating due to warm start. A wide-range class 1 to 60 electronic overload prevents installation call-backs due to mis-sized thermal overloads, and a multitap power transformer can handle a range of inputs (120 to 480 Vac).
