A wireless key switch released by Echoflex Solutions provides an efficient power-saving solution for hotel rooms. A self-powered switch is triggered when a hotel key card is inserted or removed from its dock. A radio signal is then transmitted to a controller, which takes appropriate action. In the case of the card being removed from its dock, power-consuming utilities are regulated or disabled, following a time delay. The unit meets ASHRAE 90.1 requirements.
