PBA promotes Awabdeh, Conrad, Laginess, and Graettinger to VP

Peter Basso Associates is pleased to announce four promotions. 

"On the heels of our 25th anniversary, which we celebrated in 2015, it’s important that as a firm we recognize the value of our staff and the contributions they’ve made to our organization. With the start of 2016, we’re excited to see our PBA family continue to grow and provide exceptional MEP engineering services to our clients," said Dan Englehart, PE, LEED AP, president and COO.

Promotions to vice president include Souhel (Sam) Awabdeh, PE; David A. Conrad, PE; Eric M. Graettinger, PE, LEED AP; and Bryan M. Laginess, PE, LEED AP.

Awabdeh is a lead electrical engineer in the firm’s health care/laboratory group. He has specialized in working with major healthcare clients, such as McLaren Health Care and Beaumont Health’s Royal Oak Hospital. Since he started his career with PBA 15 years ago, Awabdeh’s largest project has been his work at Beaumont Health System, Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak for its Emergency Power System Upgrade. Awabdeh, a University of Alabama graduate, is a registered engineer in Michigan is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering and the Engineering Society of Detroit.

Conrad is a lead mechanical engineer in the firm’s corporate, office and government group. This year, Conrad, an architectural engineering graduate from Kansas State University, commemorates 18 years with the organization. Conrad’s largest project was the University of Michigan Crisler Center Phase II Expansion, which achieved LEED Gold. Conrad is a registered engineer in Michigan and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers and the Engineering Society of Detroit.

Celebrating 19 years with PBA, Graettinger, a University of Detroit Mercy graduate, is a lead electrical engineer and vice president with its corporate, office and government group. Graettinger’s largest project contribution has been with PBA client Quicken Loans at One Campus Martius in Detroit. Graettinger is a LEED Accredited Professional and a registered engineer in Michigan, Arizona and Nevada. He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and past-president of the Detroit Section.

Laginess has been with PBA for 16 years and plays an important role in its healthcare / laboratory group. Laginess, a University of Michigan graduate, is a lead mechanical engineer. Laginess played a vital role in providing mechanical engineering design for the St. Mary’s Southwest Ambulatory Care Center – a LEED certified project in Byron Center, MI. Laginess is a LEED Accredited professional and registered engineer in Michigan. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers.
