Eaton Corp. introduced the SmartWire-DT panel wiring solution to the North American market. The system reduces panel wiring complexity, improves system reliability, saves installation time, and reduces panel space. It replaces the wires found in the control circuit with a single cable, connecting motor control components to programmable logic controllers. The product can speed the start-up commissioning process and provide extensive run-time diagnostics. It links standard motor control components within the panel, separates distribution panels or remote control stations, and creates communications-enabled devices. The system also safeguards the control panel from unauthorized wiring changes.
