Packaged boiler

CBEX Elite packaged boiler reduces emissions while operating more efficiently.

By Cleaver-Brooks May 4, 2015

The CBEX Elite packaged boiler from Cleaver-Brooks attains operating efficiency and emits fewer air pollutants. The CBEX Elite incorporates ultra-low NOx burner technology that results in meeting sub-5 ppm NOx on select models without selective catalytic reduction (SCR). The product’s low-NOx burners produce 30 ppm NOx and maintain 3% O2 across the full operating range with 10:1 turndown.  The system automatically adjusts to changing environmental conditions, maintaining higher energy efficiency compared to a boiler that has to be tuned manually. Available options include a variable speed drive control and NOx trim for controlling the ultra-low NOx burners. The CBEX is available in sizes ranging from 100 to 2,200 hp. Design pressure is 50 to 250+ on steam and 30 to 125 psig on hot water.
