Combining engineering and creativity, the contest asks people to create a piece of technology that makes a personal space more livable or convenient. Each entrant will record their creation and send their video to IEEE at www.ieee125.org .

%%POINT%% Due to the 85 MW of new solar capacity, Pacific Gas and Electric Co., San Francisco, was named the most solar integrated utility by the Solar Electric Power Assn (SEPA). Two other California utilities, Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas and Electric Co., took second and third place in SEPA's 2008 Utility Solar Integration rankings.
