The innovative environmental training program, GreenPlumbers, announced Grundfos Pumps Corp. as its founding partner. The GreenPlumbers training and accreditation program is open to all recognized plumbers and contractors.

The program is partnered with the EPA's WaterSense program, the Alliance for Water Efficiency, the Calif. Center for Sustainable Energy, and the Calif. Urban Water Conservation Council.

The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act passed in the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill will create four new corps designed to address needs in low-income communities:

  • Energy Corps that will focus on energy efficiency and conservation

  • Education Corps to increase student engagement and achievement

  • Healthy Futures Corps to improve health-case access

  • Veterans Service Corps to enhance services for military veterans

In this month's Green Space, CSE Editorial Board Member John Suzukida discusses his version of the Energy Corps and the potential impact on energy conservation.
