Modular power distribution terminal blocks consist of single or multiple busbars that feature easy-to-wire screw connections. They range in current handling capacity from 63 amps to 100, 125 and 160 amps. Each busbar can accept from 7 to 15 wires depending on the model. A unique feature of the multiple busbar modules is that they can be mounted easily onto either the standard DIN rails found in most control system and electrical cabinets, or directly onto a panel. Terminal block connector option for switching power supplies offer connections for both AC input and DC output. All single- and triple-output models have a 3-in. x 5-in. footprint and will deliver from 25 to 55 watts of total power depending on the model and whether the units are convection- or forced-air-cooled. Featuring universal input from 85 volts to 264 volts AC, all models have adjustable outputs, remote sense, built-in EMI filtering as well as overload, over-voltage and thermal protection. 5-kV and 10-kV insulation testers include special noise suppression for use in high-voltage substations or switchyards and are line- or battery-operated for extra testing flexibility in the field. The measurement range has been expanded to 15 T-Ohms and 35 T-Ohms for improved insulation testing and better long-term trending of test results of higher value apparatus. Both units automatically perform insulation resistance (IR), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), polarization index (PI), step voltage (SV) and dielectric discharge (DD) tests. Current monitoring solid-state relay are microprocessor-controlled and capable of switching 50-amp single-phase AC loads at up to 660 volts AC, when controlled by a 4- to 32-volt DC signal. Its internal current sensing circuitry monitors and reacts to a number of load failure conditions. An alarm function can be set locally or remotely from a standard PLC. Internal over temperature and over current protection is standard. For more about the RJCS from Carlo Gavazzi, click here .
