New Products for Power Quality and Reliability

Online double-conversion UPS systems and new standby generator models

UPS system is designed to deliver highest reliability and availability for large, mission-critical systems. Key innovations include: ability to operate at an industry leading 95% efficiency; scalable architecture; double-conversion design that isolates output power from all input power anomalies; and small footprint and low weight for a UPS model in its class. Standby generators are offered in an array of new models. The manufacturer’s air-cooled line, for example, now features five models with ratings of 7, 10, 13, 16 and 18 kW. These models feature overhead-valve industrial engines. New automotive-style enhancements to these engines will promote even longer life and extended oil change intervals.A gray aluminum enclosure is standard for the 18 kW model and is available as an option on the 16 kW unit. All air-cooled products now come with a three-year limited warranty for added protection. For more about these and other new gensets from Generac, click here .

is designed to meet the demands of semiconductor fabrication, process control, manufacturing systems and industrial infrastructures with a scalable platform and N+1 redundancy. The double-conversion online models are said by the manufacturer to achieve faster processor utilizing digital signal processing (DSP) technology, thereby improving performance, capability and reliability. The introduction of this new paralleled product family marks the company’s foray into larger UPS systems up to 24kVA). For more about the FN Series from Falcon, click here .

Switching power supply is available in a parallel version and is suited for both SELV and PELV circuitry. The unit is designed and developed for industrial uses where safety, ease of use and reliability are essential to the task. As such, this unit is set to comply with all parameters set by the Low voltage Directive and EMI standards. For more about the CSF-10 from ASI, click here .
