Autodesk has announced its annual upgrades to CAD products for the building industry, including Autodesk Building System, Architectural Desktop and Revit. One new feature of particular note is greater interoperability between ABS and Revit. For more information, click here .

Adobe Systems announced immediate availability of Acrobat 3D, desktop software that helps extend document-based 3D design collaboration capabilities to virtually anyone across and beyond global organizations. Project teams can more quickly, securely and cost-effectively drive to completion critical communication processes that require 3D visualization. For more information, click here .

Interactive 3-D presentations of AutoCAD and MicroStation files can. be created quickly, with navigation controls (like a video game) and creates walkthroughs from huge (100-megabyte) files in minutes. The software doesn’t predetermine the path you can take inside the walk through, and lets the user roam freely through the environment. For more about Walkinside from Axiom, click here .

3-D airflow software has been released in Version 6, with improved 3-D visualization and enhanced treatment for glazed surfaces; curvilinear geometry; angled fans; centrifugal blowers; and air-recirculation devices.
